Why I Photograph: The Heart Behind Fawn Memories
Every photograph tells a story, and mine begins with a bittersweet memory. Growing up, our family albums brimmed with pictures of me and my siblings at every milestone. But there was always something missing—my mother. She was the one holding the camera, the one ensuring every moment was captured, but never stepping into the frame herself. It’s a reminder of how often mothers sacrifice their presence in family memories, choosing instead to immortalize everyone else.
Now that I’m a mother, I understand her perspective deeply. Like her, I want to capture every fleeting moment—every laugh, every cuddle, every tiny hand gripping mine. Selfies are easy, but what I treasure most are the unscripted moments: the way I look at my child, the way she responds to me. These are the moments I hope to preserve for others because they’re irreplaceable.
The Why Behind Fawn Memories
My own childhood memories go beyond the absence of my mother in pictures. My parents worked tirelessly to provide for us, often working long hours to make ends meet. Rare were the moments when we all sat down together for a meal, yet these moments held so much weight—they reminded us of why we worked so hard. Fawn Memories exists to honor those moments. The love shared in a stolen glance, the joy of playing together, and the warmth of simply being present with each other. These are the memories worth preserving.

As an experienced photographer in Singapore, with nearly a decade of expertise, I’ve honed a style that is as unique as the families I work with. What sets me apart is my commitment to making each session personal and meaningful. I don’t believe in rigid formulas or cookie-cutter poses. Every family has its own dynamic, and I adapt to embrace that. My sessions are about capturing who you are—not who you’re told to be.
For newborn sessions, I bring the studio to you. I understand how overwhelming those first weeks can be and how daunting it is to leave the house with a newborn. By working in your home, I ensure the environment is calm and comfortable. My child-led sessions for young families are another hallmark of my work. I don’t force smiles; instead, I create space for play and laughter to unfold naturally. The result? Images filled with joy, love, and authenticity.
